Questions regarding certificates and test reports

Here we explain the significance of our certifications and project-specific documentation. We will answer any further questions based on the requirements of your order.

Is your welding technology certified separately? +

Yes. Our welding operations are certified according to DIN EN ISO 3834. Welding procedures are qualified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 15614 and documented in the WPQR. Our welders are certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9606. For ASME orders, the requirements of ASME Code Section IX also apply.

What does the WHG certificate stand for? +

The WHG certificate certifies WOLF as a specialized company in accordance with the Water Resources Act. This certification is required for work on facilities that handle substances hazardous to water. These include, for example, storage tanks for the chemical and petrochemical industries.

Which test certificates in accordance with EN 10204 do you issue? +

We provide inspection certificates in accordance with EN 10204 Type 3.1 as standard. If an independent acceptance inspector or a notified body is to confirm the results, Type 3.2 may be agreed upon. Welding certificates in accordance with DIN EN ISO 15614 and DIN EN ISO 9606 are included in the data book. In addition, the agreed-upon NDT reports and pressure test reports are provided.

What do “U-Stamp” and “U2-Stamp” mean? +

The U-stamp authorizes the manufacture of pressure vessels in accordance with ASME Code Section VIII, Division 1. For pressure vessels under Division 2, which have expanded requirements for calculation and testing, the U2-stamp is required. WOLF holds the U-stamp at both of its plants. The U2 stamp applies to the Wilnsdorf plant; registrations with the National Board are part of the respective certifications.
